St. Gallen is a small city located south of the Lake of Constance in the eastern part of Switzerland. St. Gallen’s most famous landmark is its baroque cathedral with the Abbey Library, which houses around 170’000 historic documents – in parts hand-written and over a thousand years old. The entire abbey precinct was declared UNESCO world heritage site in 1983. The historic old town of St. Gallen is car free. The landmark mountain of St. Gallen, Säntis (2’502 m above MSL), is located around 30 km south of the city.
THE CONFERENCE CENTRE
The conference will be held at the Einstein St. Gallen, in the elegant and spacious “Einstein Hall”. The centrally located conference hotel is quietly situated and within a short walking distance from the world-famous monastery district and the old town of St. Gallen. The distance between the conference centre and the main train station is around 10 minutes on foot.

To St. Gallen by train
Trains from major nearby cities (e.g., Zurich, Stuttgart, Munich, and Innsbruck) run to St. Gallen main station a couple of times per day and from Zurich even a couple of times per hour. The biggest airport close to St. Gallen is Zurich airport, which is one hour from St. Gallen by train.
